Daphne Lee was born and educated in Hong Kong. Since 2009, she has moved to Switzerland with her husband and started a new life there. She made a choice not to continue working in the field of Marketing, which was her major in University, but pursue her career as an illustrator to realize her childhood dream.
With intensive observations to children, her work describes and reflects the behaviors of children and advocates their valuable traits that can hardly be found in adults. “Most children are straight forward. They become happy for an unnoticeable thing and forget about other’s mistakes after a minute.” Perhaps adults should learn how to make themselves happy from children.
Daphne wants to draw for children to deliver messages of correct values. She also wants to draw for adults to remind them that life can be very simple if they do not merely compete on material possessions.
